A "Yasher Koach" to and everyone involved in planning the 2007 CHAT Israel Experience trip. Our son Matthew had a wonderful first Israel experience that we know he will remember forever. This education-packed trip with the numerous sites explored through hands on experiences with friends and teachers like - archeological digs, planting trees, camel treks, climbing Masada, snorkeling and relaxing in the Dead Sea, jeep rides in the Golan, slipping notes in the Kotel, visiting Israeli schools, Bedouin tent and Kibbutz overnights, and more -- has given Matthew a phenomenal overview of our land and has further deepened his pride in being Jewish. Above all, thank you, for putting safety first and keeping the group secure at all times.

In addition to everything else, thanks must be extended for the excellent care and supervision of our children. Our son Rafi Broer had a severe allergic reaction to unknown pollens on Thursday morning while leaving Kibbutz Lavi. Instead of waiting or trying to guess what it was, the staff immediately took Rafi for medical care. After a few hours the reaction had subsided and School Admininstration in Toronto called to let us know. They also had Rafi & Ms. Lightstone call right away with the details and to assure us that Rafi was fine. From all accounts, he could not have had better or more attentive care. We are very grateful for that as well as for the unforgettable experience this trip has provided.

As we write this note, the kids are jetting back to Canada on their El Al flight. From our perspective as parents, the Israel 2007 trip has been a brilliant success. The kids have been given an opportunity to experience that which most of them have only read in text books and heard from their teacher mentors. They have had a real life, interactive experience in what Israel tourism refers to as "Israel is Real". There is most certainly a sense of emotional attachment that most of our children have felt. Taryn has already expressed a desire to return to Israel for an extended stay.

Thank you to all the staff who accompanied our children on this trip, guided them and kept them safe. Thank you to Mr. Shaviv and his staff for keeping us abreast of our childrens' doings.

I'd like to thank everyone involved for producing and directing such a fabulous trip to Israel! I'm thrilled that my son Eli was able to participate, just like his brother Joshua did last year! Having the opportunity to meet up with his brother, Michael, who
is in the IDF and who had a role in Lebanon over the Summer, and with his sister, Shira and her husband Daniel, over Shabbat in Jerusalem was just super for everyone involved! I feel like I've been to Israel just by looking at all the fabulous pictures! Thank you so much again for a fabulous trip! I look forward to meeting Eli Monday morning in Toronto! It is wonderful to be following the excitement and adventures of this 2007 grade 10 CHAT Israel trip. It always warms my soul to know that at the same time my daughter experiences the spirit of the land, she is sharing this soulful discovery at the same time as her mother and grandmother. Three generations sinking their feet into Israeli soil at the same time, just in different parts of the country. May there be many more opportunities in the future. I am so excited to see all the updates and pictures of the grade 10 Israel trip. I spoke with my brother, David Freiman, today, and he is having the time of his life. I am especially thrilled that he is experiencing Israel with CHAT because I have such wonderful memories of my own grade 12 trip to Israel with CHAT in 2002-2003. That trip was the beginning of many visits back to Israel for me, and I hope this will bring David and his friends back to Israel many more times.

Thanks so much for the fabulous, detailed updates! Sorry to hear that some of the kids are not feeling well - how unfortunate. I presume that Ben (Deverett, my son) is feeling better now, though the kid has never complained in his life so it's hard to say. .... I'd venture a guess that your website is getting more hits than most local corporations this week….technology can be so wonderful.

I couldn't be happier that Rebecca is participating in The CHAT Grade 10 Israel Trip. I hear the excitement and happiness in her voice each and every time we speak. The trip diary and photos are a wonderful way to keep in touch with what the kids are doing and I am overwhelmed by the detail and description of each entry. I just wanted to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for such a great website and blog regarding the Tanenbaum CHAT trip to Isreal. I'm thrilled to see the pictures and video with my Nephew, Adam Newman! Being in Los Angeles, I am so grateful to be able to keep up-to-date with the kids. Looks like they're all having a great time.
Just as an aside, I'm also excited to see that you are using the latest and best Apple software to create this great website. I work as a Creative at Apple Computer and I teach people how to do this every day. Your website is a great example of how fun, effective and immediate sharing photos and blogs can be and I would love to show my clients what a great job you're doing!
